My name is Marouane, I’m a full-stack developer in New York. I have experience In building full stack applications using JavaScript and React for the Front-End and Node and Express Js for the Back-End, I recently completed the Thinkful Engineering program, where I learned industry best practices and web development standards during the program I built many applications you can check them out below.

After getting my Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, I worked as a quality assurance technician, my mission was to ensure compliance to laws and quality norms, as well as company standards and specifications. As a Biologist and QA technician, I learned to be precise and pay attention to details.

Restaurant Reservations

This is a reservation system for fine dining restaurants. The software is used only by restaurant personnel when a customer calls to request a reservation. At this point, the customers will not access the system online. I Built this app using JavaScript, React, Express, Node, PostgreSQL, KnexJS, HTML, CSS, and BootStrap.

Flashcards

This app is designed to be used by a local school, to help students study online. Teachers will use this application to create decks of flashcards for the subjects that they teach, and students will study the decks. I used JavaScript, React, HTML, and Bootstrap to build this app.

Pomodoro Timer

App that implements the Pomodoro technique using a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes. I Built this app using React, HTML, CSS, and BootStrap.

WeLoveMovies API

As another developer at Thinkful works on the design and frontend experience, I was in charge of setting up the database and building up a REST API with specific routes so that users can list, read, create, update or delete data about movies, theaters, and reviews. I used Postgres, Express Js, and Knex to build this app.

Decoder Ring

Decoder-Ring is an application that will help you encode and decode all kinds of messages, it gives three options to work with the Caesar cipher, Polybius cipher, and the Substitution cipher, I used JavaScript to build this app, I learned to install packages and to use the Mocha framework and Chai library for testing.

GrubDash API

As another developer works on the design and frontend experience, I have been tasked with setting up an API and building out specific routes so that the frontend developers can demo some initial design ideas.

I started my career as a quality assurance technician, as a biologist, I learned a lot of skills that help me in my professional and personal life like attention to detail, communication skills, Analytical skills, Time management. In college I was introduced to the basics of algorithms and coding, that was the first time I wrote a line of code. I liked building programs from scratch and solving problems,

Two years ago I started to learn code on my own by writing some HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and to make sure I have all the stack I need to become a Full Stack Developer I join Tinkful, where I worked alongside senior developers in a fast-paced learning set, during 6 months of intensive learning I built many apps from scratch using Front End stack like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and React and Back End stack like PostgreSQL, Node, Express, and Knex.
